Is it the BIOS chip or Windows?
If the laptop stops before the Windows logo, it is usually the BIOS chip. If it stops on the Windows sign-in screen and you sign in with an email address, you can reset that yourself at account.live.com/password/reset. Our Before you bring it in page explains both.
Can I send the laptop by courier?
